A new article published in Cybersecurity Magazine presents practical lessons from CASPER, one of the CyberSecDome Open Call projects, focusing on its real-world smart parking validation pilot.
The article highlights how CASPER explored cybersecurity challenges in smart city infrastructures through realistic attack scenarios and controlled simulations. The pilot examined how integrated CyberSecDome capabilities can support key cybersecurity functions, including risk assessment, threat detection, incident investigation and situational awareness in smart-city environments.
The experience demonstrates the importance of testing cybersecurity technologies under realistic operational conditions. It also shows how integrated approaches can contribute to stronger cyber resilience, particularly in complex urban environments where digital services, connected infrastructure and operational continuity are closely linked.
