The 6th edition of the Future IoT PhD School successfully took place at Campus Cyber in Paris from September 30th to October 4th, 2024. Since its inception in 2018, the “Future-IoT – IoT meets…” series has been a key event for fostering innovation and collaboration in the field of IoT. This year’s edition was organized by Marc-Oliver Pahl and Nicolas Montavont from IMT Atlantique and Technical University of Munich (TUM), as part of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (GFA).
The event once again provided a unique platform for PhD students and researchers to explore cutting-edge developments in IoT, strengthening the ties between academia and industry.
CyberSecDome took center stage with an extraordinary keynote delivered by our Technical Coordinator, Technical University of Munich showcased the project’s AI-based security tools and integrated architecture while partners like IMT and ITML engaged students in an exciting Hackathon, featuring live demonstrations.
Specifically, IMT Atlantique presented the vision behind the VR experience designed for security analysts; while ITML highlighted the platform’s innovative Federated Learning features. ITML also delivered a keynote titled, “Secure and Private IoT Supply Chains: The Role of Federated Learning” and hosted a challenge “Federated Anomaly Detection with the Flower Framework“. Both sessions were insightful and interactive, allowing attendees to explore and experiment with federated learning concepts while collaborating to solve real-world problems.
The event was filled with energy, as participants worked in teams to solve real-world challenges, with exciting prizes awaiting the winning teams!
We extend our gratitude to the partners who played a crucial role in the success of the IoT PhD School, supporting this initiative and sharing their expertise and the CyberSecDome vision.
